Please note that there will not be a Congolese Dance & Drum Workshop in 2012 in Maui, Hawaii. We hope to announce dates for a 2013 workshop. This page is for reference only.
All guests will receive a Congolese Dance & Drum Welcome Packet. Welcome Packets will include all necessary information (lodging, amenties, etc) for arriving guests.
Illness: Out of respect for your fellow workshop participants and our staff, who need their health to be in top form in order to provide you with the best experience and instruction possible, we ask that if you suspect that you have a cold, flu or other contagious illness, please call Cai Sorlien to postpone your arrival date. Rescheduling is not a problem and we appreciate your thoughtfullness in this matter.
Alcohol or substance abuse is not permitted on the YMCA Camp Keanae premises and constitutes grounds for immediate dismissal from the workshop.
Last minute, drop-in participants are welcome; please see the daily fee below.

STEP 2: Payment
To reserve your place, you must pay a minimum deposit of $100 per person when you register. Use the Workshop Tuition chart above.
Payments can be made by credit card or bank account debit card using PayPal, or by mailing a check or money order payable to Cai Sorlien with your registration form to the address above (please note the Jan 15 address change).
To make a credit card payment, click the "Pay Now" button below and then follow the instructions to enter the amount of the payment you calculated using the Workshop Tuition chart. You do not need a PayPal account or password in order to pay online with your credit card. PayPal accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
STEP 3: Two Notifications Regarding Photography, Video and Audio Recording (Please initial):
1) PLEASE - No private photography, audio or video recording is permitted during the CDDW classes. It is disruptive to your instructors and fellow participants. (Outside of class, go for it!) Please support our hard-working artists by respecting this request. If you want a memento of a particular class that you loved, you can purchase the class DVD filmed by our official staff, who do not use flash and are experienced in getting the best angles with a minimum of disruption to your CDDW experience.

2) PLEASE be aware that if an instructor is being videotaped or photographed by our staff during a class, you could be in the background. If that's a GOOD thing to you, try to get behind or near the instructor when you line up at the beginning of class. If that's a BAD thing, choose a position on the sides or back of the group to minimize your exposure. If you are extremely camera-shy, please notify our staff and we'll make an extra effort to exclude you.
