Congolese Dance & Drum Workshop DVDs
Now you can dance with our teachers and drum with our masters any time! These DVDs are filmed during the classes taught at the Congolese Dance & Drum Workshops in California and Maui, and capture most of a single dance, drum or singing class. The emphasis is on filming the instructor (from the front!), although students do appear since it is a live recording.
Each class DVD is about 1 hour unless otherwise noted. The cost is $20 per DVD, which includes postage. We ship worldwide -- though note that our DVDs are in the American NTSC format.

Mbay Louvouezo du Congo Presente Mvoula, a brilliant first album by Mbay Louvouezo, one of the Bay Area's most popular Congolese drummers. The album features vocal and musical appearances by Constant Massengo, Pierre Sandor Diabankouezi, Mohamed Kouyate and Muisi-kongo Malonga. This CD may be purchased online for $19.99 or at Congolese dance classes from Mbay Louvouezo for $15.
Simplified Congolese Songs for Students, recorded by master Congolese storyteller and choreographer Chrysogone Diangouaya, is a CD available for learning Congolese songs. It is not available online. This is a simple, a capella recording, not a performance CD, and includes a lyrics sheet with rhythm and cultural background information. The CD is US$20, and all proceeds go to Chrysogone.
