
Cady Ndounda came to the United States when she was 13 years old. the daughter of master dancer Regine Ndounda, she began dancing with the youth group Ballet Kizingou in 1997, later becoming a principal dancer with that company. Cady trained under Malonga Casquelourd, one of the foremost Congolese artists in the United States. She has a fiery dance style with contagious energy that captivates students and audiences alike. Cady is a principal dancer with Fua Dia Congo, performing in the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival (2001, 2003) and Fua Dia Congo's home season productions since 1998. She was a principal dancer in the widely acclaimed Kusum Africa at UC Berkeley. Cady teaches Congolese dance classes and workshops in the San Francisco area and Paris. She is a patient and skilled instructor who can bring out the best in all levels of students.
