Mbemba Pangou
We are saddened to announce that in 2009 our beloved Mbemba passed on. Mbemba was a master drummer who has toured Africa and Europe leading both traditional dance troupes and modern musical and dance bands, and taught drumming in San Francisco and Mendocino. He is always present with us in spirit. Ma Mbemba was buried next to his father at the village of Tchitondi, in Congo, on November 10, 2010. We are deeply grateful to all of you who contributed your time and energy, your financial support, and your love to help us realize Ma Mbemba's final wishes.
