Chrysogone Diangouaya is an accomplished dancer, actor, storyteller, and choreographer. Former member of le Ballet de Jeunesse, and choreographer for Ballet Diapason and le Ballet National du Congo, his innovations in dance have been recognized throughout Europe and Africa. Chrysogone is founder of Ballet-Theatre Monana, the first contemporary African dance company in Brazzaville, Congo (now based in Paris), l’Association de Jeunes Createurs de Brazzaville; and Mabina Danse, the Congo’s first choreographic festival. He also writes, directs and acts in his own productions. Based in Paris, this internationally acclaimed artist has travelled the globe, bringing the vitality of Central African tradition to audiences worldwide.
